Who will work in my garden?

I am an experienced gardener who maintains many large and small private gardens around the Darlington area.

I would welcome the opportunity to discuss your specific gardening needs and look forward to potentially providing regular garden maintenance or assisting with one-off projects.

How much do you charge?

I charge a flat rate of £20 per hour for all my clients.

In addition, I will charge for any materials I need to maintain your garden, such as:

Lawn weed control
Lawn moss control
Lawn seed
Weedkiller
Weed control fabric
Decorative coverings
Compost
Plant feed

Do you have your own tools?

I have a full range of professional tools to enable me to maintain your garden as efficiently and safely as possible and leave everything looking neat and tidy when I have finished.

Do you take away green waste?

Darlington Borough Council and Richmondshire District Council provide garden waste collection services which homeowners can subscribe to at the beginning of each year.

If clients decide not to subscribe to these services, or there is a large amount of green waste from a job, then I will simply charge for the time it takes to transport and deposit the waste at the Darlington tip and recycling centre.

How do you schedule bookings?

Requirements vary between clients, from regular weekly, fortnightly, monthly or seasonal maintenance programmes to one-off projects.

Having considered all of my client's requirements, I schedule for the following week at the end of each week and inform my clients of the proposed schedule.

If the weather impacts the proposed schedule, I will inform you as soon as possible so we can re-arrange for a mutually acceptable date and time.

Clients can register to make and manage your bookings online - Please let me know if you would like to use this service and I will get you setup.

You do not need to be at home for me to work on your garden - I have many clients who make suitable arrangements for me to access their garden when they are not there.

How do you invoice and accept payments?

I email my invoices at the end of each week, which include details of the work I completed that week, including:

Hours
Hourly rate
Material costs
Total amount due

Payments are due upon receipt of the invoice to the bank account detailed in the invoice.

Direct bank payments are preferred, but arrangements can be made to pay by cheque or cash if required.
